To ensure unbiased decision-making and prevent conflicts of interest, authors who serve on the journal's Editorial Board (Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member/ etc.) will be excluded from any editorial processing of their own manuscripts, including the review process and final decisions. Additionally, Editorial Board Members will not participate in decision-making for papers authored by family members, colleagues, or for submissions related to products or services in which they have an interest. These submissions will undergo the standard journal procedures and independent peer review, free from the influence of the relevant Editorial Board Members and their research groups.
For instance, manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief will be assigned to an Editorial Board Member with the appropriate expertise. After receiving comments from external reviewers, the manuscript will be returned to this Editorial Board Member, who will make the final decision. This process ensures that all manuscripts are evaluated fairly and impartially.
